NYFW came to a close with plenty of gold and glitter. Fresh new beauty trends emerged from the catwalk, with models showcasing bare skin (yes!) and bold lips. The big colour of the season: Blue. Blue eyes, blue liner and even blue lips. It appears Spring/Summer 2016 is a season that's going to be full of natural beauty embellished with punches of unexpected colour. It may be months away but here's a roundup of the season's beauty trends that are worth trying out right now.
BLUE EVERYTHING

From Rihanna’s bold blue lips at NYFW to the soft baby blue sjadows at Jenny Packham, this is the colour that will be everywhere come Spring. It’s a colour often associated with the 80’s but designers like DVF and Karen Walker are bringing it back to our beauty bags in all shades. Kendall Jenner walked the runway in a metallic blue that curtained the eyes in a soft sponged liner. Dominique Samuel for Maybelline New York took the blue trend to a whole new level when he applied Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tattoo 24HR Cream Gel Shadow in Tenacious Teal, ($9) to create a thick blue brow at Chromat’s show. He said the idea was inspired by “the power woman of the future”. Val Garland for MAC also applied the colour to the eyes at Monique Lhuillier’s show to compliment her bright collection. NYFW made this colour cool, fun and fresh again so stay ahead of the trend and bring it out to play this Fall.
