Q: At what age should I start Botox or facial fillers? Should I wait until I see wrinkles and lines? Or should I be using it before they show up?
Theresa Taylor, RN: Everyone is unique in their anti-aging concerns. In my experience, I’ve treated patients as young as 18 and as old as 70. I believe every age range wants to look and feel their best and what “best” means differs from age group to age group. An assessment or consultation will provide recommendations for these concerns. Starting with dermal fillers, unless you’re blessed with full lips, is an acceptable treatment to consider. Increasingly, Botox is being used preventatively by individuals in their 20’s and 30’s. They are likely to start seeing the very first signs of aging and would like to prevent them from becoming worse. Once lines and wrinkles are etched into the skin, they are much more difficult to erase.
