Laser hair removal is by no stretch a new treatment. While it’s been proven to be very effective, many people still haven’t gone down that road for multiple reasons such as cost, for instance. Furthermore, some people aren’t even sure if it’s the right treatment for them. We did a bit of digging to help you figure out if laser hair removal is right for you. To make it easier to digest, we’ve broken it down into a three part series, starting with your initial treatments, right down to keeping that hair gone after treatments are finished.
The “How” of it all
Laser hair removal is a process where lasers target the hair follicles below the surface of the skin, damaging them at the roots which prevents growth. All of this is done with minimal to no damage tot he skin. Before starting laser hair removal treatments, you do need to see it’s the right treatment for you. There are lots of things to consider before taking on this investment (which is exactly what it is–we’ll get to that in a sec), so start by asking yourself these questions:
How coarse is my body hair and how much of it do I have?
What areas do I want to get done?
What is my skin type, texture and tone?
Do I have any sun damage or visible signs of aging on my skin?
What is my budget?
