That’s it! You’re done your treatments! Actually, we’re kidding. You’re not, sorry. While you’re done the bulk of your treatments, this is the time to remind yourself of the investment that you’ve made and maintain that new, smooth exterior. We’ve got three tips to help you keep that hair at bay and stay smooth.
Tip #1: Go for your checkups
Unfortunately, laser hair removal is not a 100 per cent permanent deal, but it’s as close as we can get to pure hairless magic. After you’re finished your established sessions, you’re going to need to maintain your hairless look with regular checkups. Now, we’re not talking every few weeks, but if you start to see that the regrowth is getting darker or coarser again, it’s time to go see your laser clinic again.
Tip #2: Do the at-home maintenance
No, we’re not talking about at home lasers, silly! Since what little hair is left is in a much better growing space, opt for longer-lasting maintenance like at-home waxing. If you’re trying to maintain your legs, whatever hair is left is probably already growing at a glacial pace, so add some extra time by giving your legs a quick wax. By pulling the hair out at the root, your smooth stems can go for even longer in between treatments.
Tip #3: Actually go for your follow-up treatments
The worse thing you can do after spending all of this money is not keep it up. Seriously. Yes, it’ll cost you a bit more, but seriously think of how much you spend on each in-salon wax or on razors (which are remarkably overpriced) and how much easier it is to go to the beach whenever. you. want.
