America’s Next Top Model host, Tyra Banks tweeted out last week (March 20th) the hashtagged photo #NotTooShort, showing off her new pixie cut and we’re loving it. The cut is sophisticated, chic and easy to handle. She’s embracing her own hair and working with it vs. covering up her locks with clip-ons and clip-in extensions. We’re sincerely swooning over her new look and think this is a long time coming.
Reasons why we think Tyra Banks new haircut should be her go-to hairstyle all the time:
1. She is a model and, as such has fantastic bone structure, which is now on full display, 24/7.
2. She’s 41 and, with this hair cut, can spend less time working on her hair style and more time just working on herself as anyone over the age of 25 already knows.
3. The weaves, extensions and wigs she has worn in the past (think “Top Model” television series, her talk show) weren’t doing her hair any favours. This is a leap in the direction of happy, healthy hair.
