We had the luck of catching stylist Andre Moukas of Venere Salon amidst his busy holiday schedule to ask a few Q’s on the topic of how your hair could be the number one culprit in making you look older. That is to say, your cut, colour or the way you’re taking care of your hair may all be factors into how your hair may be aging you without you even knowing it. Moukas gives us his top seven ways your hair is aging you along with seven ways to remedy each scenario.
Your Highlights Are Too Chunky
Moukas says “zebra stripe” highlights tend to give your head of hair a rather tacky look. Opting for a more natural variation of highlights, a sun-kissed look or balayage technique offer softer, less severe colour results. For those unsure, balayage is when highlights or colour are hand painted into the hair without the use of foils.
