Doctor Fish is another name for the bone fish, a species of tiny fish that feed on, well, human skin. We first saw this one on an episode of The Bachelor, when the bachelorettes went to South Korea. It seemed like a funny alternative to a pumice stone until we read up on it – many American states and Canadian provinces have banned the procedure on sanitary grounds. Despite their title, doctor fish are not licensed medical professionals; they just eat skin. So they’re not going to be precise or be sure not to nibble too deep and possibly harm you and leave you with possible exposure to infection.
