World-renowned make-up artist Grace Lee has been working her talent on the faces of models and celebs for the past 20 years. Her clients include the likes of Justin Timberlake, Drake and Anna Paquin, just to name a few. She has lent her hand to the team at Paris Fashion Week, working on shows like Alexander McQueen. Her work has been featured in magazines including, FASHION, ELLE Canada and ‘W’. It comes as no surprise then that Grace was announced as the Official Makeup Artist for Maybelline NY in Canada three years ago. She’s keyed each and every make-up look we’ve seen on the runways for Toronto Fashion Week (37 in total!) and we caught up with her to get the scoop on beauty trends for the year coming up.
BD: What are the top three most used makeup items at WMCFW?
Grace Lee: Our brow products are very popular. We have amazing products like Brow Drama, $8 that defines and tints brows. We also have a new Maybelline Brow Drama Pomade Crayon that’s coming out soon. It’s an eyebrow enhancer that requires little effort and has been used a lot for the shows. Another popular product is the Maybelline Master Contour Palette, which comes out in January and it’s genius. And third, we use mascara on all the girls so I’d say our Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara, $10 is the most used.
