She brought her craft to Venice where she had Amal Clooney in her make-up chair on the day of her wedding to George Clooney. She's spent her career working with some of fashion's best photographers including Mario Testino and Terry Richardson. She's Kate Moss' go-to-girl, working with the supermodel since the early days of her career. Charlotte Tilbury is the woman the industry has on speed dial. Her work is revolutionary, creative and fun - and she has the personality to match! We caught up with the world's most sought-after make-up artist (and our very own Expert Panel member!) to talk about her new collection and beauty must-haves.
BD: WHAT PRODUCTS DO YOU RECOMMEND FOR WOMEN OVER 40?
CT: I always say women can wear makeup from 18-80! There are no restrictions! The whole point of my collection of ten looks is that every woman has the power to choose from a color-curated, off-the-peg makeup wardrobe depending on their mood and outfit. Generally, softer powder pencils glide over older skin in a more flattering way, and as you age, you should never neglect your brows as they are the age-reversing, pillars of the face; a great under-eye concealer is every woman’s secret weapon – let’s face it the whole world is tired – my Retoucher will literally erase under-eye bags the size of Louis Vuitton clutches in a click of a pen.
