While it may not be everyone's cup of tea, the latest nail trend to take the internet by storm is here. Welcome bubble nails.
This isn't necessarily a new nail trend, having been around for over 10 years now, but it is certainly making a comeback, especially thanks to all nail fanatics who pore over Instagram daily for ideas and inspiration for their next over the top mani.
The look is created with what appears to be layer upon layer of acrylic gel and, for greater height, some contain a small acrylic ball underneath. Some are short and restricted solely to the nail length, not surpassing the tip of the finger. Other's take on a longer length, with either a squared edge or, for the daring (and careful not to poke themselves) the sharply tipped "stiletto" nail.
Instagram holds a myriad of thess old-is-new-again images under a couple of hashtags: #BubbleNails or #HumpNails. To us, these look like halved gumballs stuck onto the ends of fingers but, at the end of the day, we've seen and heard of stranger things in the world of beauty.
