One of the biggest fashion events of the year is the Met Gala that draws in the most elite crowd in fashion, music and entertainment. This year's theme for the Met Gala 2016 invite-only event was Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology and it brought with it bold, daring looks on the red carpet. While some celebs went with their own style, the trends were obvious: grunge lips, bold and dramatic eyes and anything-but-boring hair (a nice departure from what we usually see on the red carpet). Lupita Nyong’o sure knows how to make a statement on the red carpet. Her architectural-inspired hair stood firmly upright and was the most awe-inspiring look of the night. I’d say she gets brownie points for thinking big.
