Aside from not letting that tube get too old and crusty, there are a few other bad makeup habits when it comes to mascara we are all guilty of committing. We've got the most common mascara-don'ts you should be aware of, to help keep your lashes healthy and bacteria-free.
Using a waterproof brand all the time
There’s nothing wrong with using waterproof mascara, but using it everyday can be too harsh for your lashes. Waterproof formulas contain fewer moisturizing ingredients than non-waterproof mascaras, since they must adhere longer, so over-use could end up causing your lashes to become dry and fall out earlier than normal. Also, it’s more difficult to remove than non-waterpfoor, even with the best of makeup removers.
